DRUG REPAIR THAT WORKS
By Jost Sauer
Published by Allen and Unwin
$27.95
Psychedelic, insightful, spiritual and practical, Drug Repair That Works is one of the most profound and provocative books written about recreational drugs in recent times. Join Jost on a wild ride through the invisible worlds from addiction to psychosis to recovery. Read this ground-breaking and gripping book and change your life and the future of the planet.
In Drug Repair That Works Jost continues the story from Higher and Higher but takes it to another level. He faces his final taboo – his own period of madness and psychosis – and makes sense of the darker aspects of his past. Again, interweaving his own story and new insights into psychosis, with case studies of ice, speed, violence, sex and redemption, Jost proposes a radical new way of interpreting drug experiences and shows how to heal a drug past.

Congratulations on your new book Jost! Do you have any idea when it will be available in the U.S.?
After completing a compulsory AOD [Alcohol & Other Drugs] module in my welfare course studies I truly wish that your liberating insights into psychosis, meridian energy and spirituality were part of the curriculum. So tired of hearing the ‘brain chemistry’ model being put forth as the Holy Grail of explanations for mental illness experiences and substance use effects.
Hi Vance, Drug Repair That Works is available in US in December 2010. But its also available on Amazon.
Hi Lewis. I know exactly what you’re saying as I’ve worked in that world for almost 10 years during the 1980′s as Youth Worker / Drug & Alcohol Counsellor. The fact that they had nothing else to offer except this limiting brain chemistry model made me loose interest in Western addiction theory. I embraced Chinese medicine instead and I never looked back
Hi Jost,
I am interested in your book, and approach.
I was diagnosed schitzophrenic after years of delusions, and psychosis which gradually developed after giving up alcohol.
I was on respiridol for 12 months with dire consequences: massive weight gain, insomnia, and other problems.
I am now under treatment of doctor of natural medicine and have regained stable mental health, with some anxiety.
I am 10 years sober after a 4 year alcohol addiction.
My psychotherapists has put it all down to hypoglycemia [www.hypoglycemia.asn.au]
Thanks for your good work
Sandy
